Applying the Adhesive (Adhesive is needed only for
non-porous surfaces.)

instructions in handling this product. Wear protective
gloves.
2. Stir inkAID Adhesive before applying.
3. Foam brushes are the preferred applicator, as they provide a smoother coating than bristle brushes. Brush onto the surface in light, even strokes. Only a very light primer coating of Adhesive is needed, making sure that the surface is covered evenly.
A second light coating can be applied if necessary after allowing the surface to dry overnight. inkAID coatings may be diluted with 5 - 10% water if needed.
Directions: Applying Clear Gloss Precoat
1. Apply Adhesive if required as described above.

handling this product. Wear protective gloves.
3. Stir inkAID Gloss Precoat before applying.
4. Foam brushes are the preferred applicator, as they provide a smoother coating than bristle brushes. Brush onto the surface in even strokes, applying a moderate amount of coating. On smooth, non-porous surfaces apply enough coating so that the coating begins to flow and level by itself.
A second light coating can be applied if necessary after allowing the surface to dry overnight. On papers and other porous materials, a second coating, applied perpendicularly to the first, is often used. inkAID coatings may be diluted with 5 - 10% water if needed.
5. Allow the print to dry for a day or two before any top coating is applied. After top coating, you can coat it with other, compatible coatings (such as acrylic medium) for further protection or work over the print with natural media. |
